Starting his career in fast paced and high end kitchens of Southern California, he then graduated at the Oregon Culinary Institute where Travis further refined his craft in Portland’s celebrated food scene.
As Executive Chef and Co-Founder of Cellar 417, Travis has created a menu that blends elevated comfort food with chef-driven creativity — featuring house-made pastas, fresh seasonal ingredients, handcrafted focaccia, flavor-packed small plates, and thoughtfully composed entrées designed to pair beautifully with the restaurant’s curated wine program.
His culinary philosophy is simple: food should feel both exciting and welcoming. He is especially passionate around small sharable plates that give everyone a chance to try something they might not otherwise experience as he knows first hand how that simple taste can open up new worlds of flavor.
